Damage In Tolland

LOL about me building one--that's not going to happen. :)

I suspected I might need to resort to a window, especially since we have no exterior outlets (yet, in any case).. Hopefully, I'll be able to find one that can link directly into my router so I won't need my computer on. I imagine that's available. Next problem would be finding a window that has appropriate view and necessary proximity to the router.

THanks!

The Dropcam I mentioned might not be good for Wunderground...they are looking for a single image upload and I'm not certain if you can get that from them. That being said, I believe there are other solutions out there that do.

Power is the problem - I think. I'm going to be putting up an new OTA antenna in November with a higher mast and I'm toying with putting a Webcam up top because I think you'd have a nice view up there.

Do the ens have it? Maybe we can still get some major wind damage after all, even if Leslie misses

They have a weak signal for it. It may be the bias of the euro op here, but some models have hinted at some sort of low. Either way, you aren't getting strong winds from a nor'easter this time of year. Very rare to do so. The only one I can think of was back in '92 I believe.

If we get it to cut inland to our west we do

Here's PFs sign he was looking for, start the process.

Bingo! That's exactly what I want to see more of over the next couple months. I'm not worried about "wasting" good storms in the fall...I want to get a pattern of storminess developed and see what happens.

From BTV:

With departure of this system Friday...drier and somewhat cooler weather is anticipated for Friday and Saturday. GFS and European model (ecmwf) diverge significantly by next weekend however...with European model (ecmwf) hinting at another wet weather system by next Sunday.

I think that even if I can link my Wunderground stuff to it, I'll (like you) be able to view situations of rain/snow while I'm away. Hell, maybe I'll just set up a website that you can all bookmark. :)

Anyone else having trouble on all the NOAA sites? None of them seem to work.

Yup--each time, I get one of those screens that looks like I don't have a web connection. I hit refresh though and it comes up fine. Weird.

Are you using Comcast? That happened to me a few times last winter. Usually lasted a few hours or less.

Yes I am...normally at home I use charter and have never had it happen. But I'm at Megan's right now, so perhaps that is the issue.

Its weird since it was only the NOAA sites. Every other site is fine as far as I can tell. Not that its a huge deal...would be annoying if it was during a storm threat, but right now, no biggie. Even during a storm threat, we have so many resources online now, that it would be easy to live without those sites, but I'd still rather see them than not, lol.

Interesting to see the differences in temps. Lakes Region in the upper 50s. Near 70 at BOS with dry air. Pawleys Island at BDR.

Perfect day today...everyone gets what they want....Kevin and LL down south are in the mid to upper 60s dewpoints while ORH is at 67/51 right now...and BOS has a comfortable 56F dewpoint.
