Pascagoula [Jackson Co, MS] emergency mngr reports storm surge at 11:15 AM CDT -- multiple streets in Pascagoula closed due to inundation from storm surge associated with hurricane Isaac. STORM SURGE OF 5 TO 8 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL IS POSSIBLE ACROSS COASTAL ALABAMA AND MOBILE BAY...ESPECIALLY FOR THE WESTERN AND NORTHERN SHORES OF MOBILE BAY. STORM SURGE OF 3 TO 6 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WESTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE. You can see waves propagating through the rain band! in the main thread, now we have a tornado warning out for that band in Escambia and Baldwin counties.
