Lol ^ @ Baum!

Nothing too loud here, to cause that unfortunate result! lol

Down to 56° with moderate rain. Not much thunder or wind though. Wouldn't be surprised to see some ground fog tonight after it clears out. Sump pump is going off like crazy.

0.32" of rain total.

Sure is nice outside of a few short lived rouge 80's to have the heat behind us for the next 8 months.. Get you scarves and beanies out of storage, Sparty.

some freezing fog in waukegan tonight?

:thumbsup:

Today/Tomorrow/mid next week... signs of things to come? 18z gfs trended a bit more towards the Euro in the longer range. Gotta happen sooner or later no matter how much the fall torches...

:wub::thumbsup::wub: :wub:

Looks good hopefully nothing too crazy anomalously cold though. Avg/slightly+ FTW for Fall, especially early fall..

Gotta save the good stuff for DJF! :)

AS WITH THE PREVIOUS DISCUSSIONS...BOTH THE EC/GFS ARE SHOWING

SIGNS THAT A BIG COOL DOWN IS EXPECTED AFT NEXT WEEKEND.

1000-500MB THICKNESS VALUES FALL BELOW THE CRITICAL 540DM ACROSS N

MN AFT THE 16TH OF SEPT. CAN A FROST OR A FREEZE BE FAR BEHIND IF

THIS OCCURS? ..JLT..

Typically early season cool downs at this time range have a high cold bias that the models will normally moderate as you approach the cool down. Sure it looks like it will be cooler next weekend but I don't think the thicknesses will drop that much this soon. Maybe in Manitoba or Western Ontario.

You're the met, so I will defer to you. However it would be right around climo for central and northern MN...
