Turtle FTW that WAA is the real deal..

Mostly sunny and up to 67 now here.

We'll hit 70 for sure..

Wow it actually made it to 70 here! Quite windy here as well. A 36° temp spread today.

Edit: GFS still onto the snow chances in so. WI Saturday morning.

Here comes the cold front, one of the briefest warm sectors I remember. There's almost no thermal contrast across the front though and the wind direction shift will be slow since the front is broad, so this won't be a fun one to stand outside for really (but I'll probably do it anyways). Beautiful cyclone just north of the border.

The actual cold air advection is still back in western Minnesota, which should get here sometime tonight.

No I am just pointing out the facts, I trust the sensor at the airport which is augmented vs something you have on a tree in your backyard.

It was a 1.1 degree difference.... And you were trolling. You have been at my throat over non weather related discussions and its against forum rules to chase me around the site with nonsense.

Darn the sun. I'm starting to wonder if September will still be above average. Its about time for some emphatic negative departures.

Well today was -8° overall today. Only +0.5° for the departure month to date now. High was a touch warmer than normal. 38° temperature spread today with a high of 72°. Tomorrow is looking below normal now.

...But yeah it's time for a month that is at least -4°.

- @ Beast -Those critical thicknesses are crazy far south for the first day of Autumn!

I wasn't trolling I was clarifying with the facts... Sorry it offends you so much that I think the actual observations are more correct than what you posted. Oh and I don't need you explaining the rules of the forum to me when I am not doing anything of the sort.

Nice light show going on here. Particularly to the north. Rain starting to come down with the 20mph winds outside. Still 65°, but I know that will be falling shortly.

Edit: 0.05" of rain. Down into the mid 50s as of 11pm. A narrow corridor about 5 miles south of here got about 0.5-0.6".

Yeah, the line built south a bit. Very blustery here all afternoon and evening, with just a couple brief thundershowers moving through. Areas north (Port Washington and Sheboygan) probably received a good soaking on the order of a quarter to a half inch today.

LSE

FRIDAY NIGHT LOOKING INTERESTING AS MODEL CONSENSUS SHOWS A RATHER

COMPACT MID-LEVEL LOW DROPPING INTO THE AREA MAINLY AFTER MIDNIGHT.

DYNAMIC COOLING IN THE COLUMN OF AIR ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLOSED LOW

COULD ACTUALLY PRODUCE A RAIN SHOWER/SNOW SHOWER MIX LATE IN THE NIGHT

INTO EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. THE AREA MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO THIS

RAIN/SNOW MIX LOOKS TO BE ALONG AND NORTH OF I-94...WITH JUST COLD

SHOWERS ELSEWHERE AS LOWS DIP INTO THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 30S. COLD

CYCLONIC FLOW CONTINUES INTO SATURDAY FOR A CONTINUED CHANCE OF

SHOWERS. HIGHS ON SATURDAY WILL ONLY BE IN THE LOWER/MIDDLE

50S...WHICH IS MORE TYPICAL OF LATE OCTOBER/EARLY NOVEMBER.

Low 60s and pure sun here. Just had to check the weather for the Gaylord area earlier. Sat could be pure chilly/raw. Upper 50s with scattered LER. I will be hiking Hartwick Pines and the Huron National Forest.

Looks like an ok warming trend as we head into next week. Won't be unwanted as it will aid in Fall clean up.
