trapperman
Trapper= Love it..keep bringing those shots all fall. I had a happy dream last night about opening morning duck hunting at 30 degrees. Then I woke up and looked at both the 00z Euro and GFS and got even happier. They both have a mega cold shot (for this time of year) at day 10. Look at the dark blue in central Canada on the Euro just poised to ruin any palms tropical has left. We'll pay for this in October. trapperman
Nothing but an endless eastern trough/western ridge on the models. Never seen agreement like this for so many runs in a row.
Geos
Brrrr, 46° for a low this morning. That's crazy that there is so much agreement between the major models on a eastern trough/western ridge. The end of the growing season is closing in fast... dmc76
Is it just me or did yesterday feel like the last day of summer? I know we still have an Indian summer in the future weeks ahead but it seems like every September or early October there is that one cold front that changes the season... mjwise
0.56" at ARB from this event, where the precipitation gage appears to be working again, which nicely overperformed the QPF forecast of .1-.25. Weekend looks nice, but trough next week looks nicer. The ECMWF ensemble continues to show a deep eastern trough right through 240 hrs. Courtesy DTX: PATTERN CHANGE STARTS TO TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY OVER THE PLAINS AND SOUTHERN CANADA. LOOKS TO STAY DRY ON MONDAY AS MOST OF THE PRECIP WILL BE ALONG OR BEHIND THE FRONT. THEN DEEP TROF BUILDS OVER JAMES BAY...ONTARIO AND THE GREAT LAKES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. MODELS ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH SYSTEMS EMBEDDED IN THE FLOW FOR MONDAY NIGHT/EARLY TUESDAY...AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY AND THEN AGAIN FOR LATE NEXT WEEK JUST BEYOND THE FORECAST TIME PERIOD. WITH THE SIGNIFICANTLY COLD AIR FILTERING OVER THE LAKES...ABOUT 2 STANDARD DEVIATIONS FROM AVERAGE...EXPECT UNSTABLE CONDITIONS AND QUITE A BIT OF WIND. ALSO WITH THE DEEP NW FLOW AND UNSTABLE CONDITIONS...QUITE A BIT OF CLOUDS AND SHOWER ACTIVITY. GIVEN THE AGREEMENT IN THE SOLUTIONS...WILL CONTINUE THE TREND OF GOING WITH HIGH TEMPS BELOW GUIDANCE VALUES SINCE GUIDANCE HAS PLENTY MID SEPTEMBER CLIMATOLOGY BUILT INTO IT FOR TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. trapperman
will the PAC Jet perform anal probes? I have no doubt it will come November. Just look at CFS2. Has the perfect Nino look to October, then goes all to hell in a handbasket in November. Probably because some 970mb bomb comes thru last week of October with a giant outbreak and changes the pattern. Don't even look at Dec-March. I don't understand how you can like uncomfortable -- which is what cold is. Here's what I want you to do -- keep your house thermostat at 25 degrees all winter. I bet you keep it between 65 - 75 like most people in this world. Therefore, 65+ temps are king and no one really likes 25 degrees!

I like my winters cold, my springs and falls mild, and my summers hot but not like this year. What I do not enjoy is a winter that is 30-40 degrees day after day after day and no snow. To everything there is a season. People who only like one season should go live in the climate they like. I live here because we USED TO HAVE FOUR SEASONS. Now we just have torch and not torch.
