NJHurricane
yes, I've started saving model run images off for posterity. camera are cleaned off and ready to record/photograph the event as it unfolds. I explained what a power outage was to my three year old daughter earlier. Her expression when I said that the TV wouldn't work was priceless... lol.... yeah...planning on taking a few pics around town, especially around woodbury creek for "before" comparison pics tomorrow. So glad I went all in and asked for sunday-tuesday off two days ago. Now watch it veer off to cape cod with no loop back :-P

There's no way in hell I'm crossing a bridge (I work in CC) in what's progged for Mon/Tues, so it's either work from home, or burn a vacation day or two if necessary. Unfortunately, I have a scheduled day off on Wednesday for something totally unrelated... Good idea on before pics, I hadn't considered that. I am going to make some early rounds tomorrow morning for a few things, and I think I will do the same...

SmokeEater
Is Ryan here? Just wondering how you guys were prepping your fd for this? I've been down here all night, getting the boat ready and all the saws and such. We lost our one lake after Irene, so all this rain coming is worrisome. What's the protocol for you guys? Once the wind gets over 40, you don't go out for calls?

Hopefully all the people in the shore towns heed the evac orders, or I know for sure where our boat will be going. I know the EM community is taking it deadly serious down here. What station you gonna be in, I'll listen for ya.

Parsley
Bumpin' the regular "banter" thread. Looks COLD the next couple of nights, mid and upper 20s in the burbs. Sucks for those who still have no power/heat.

Parents said there are still some mangled power poles down the street from them. They were incredibly lucky to have only lost power for about 6 hours on Monday night. Pellice
It seems as though forecasting for these nor'easters has really come a long way just in a few years. I am really impressed at how far ahead meteorologists are calling these storms.
