The question is do I stay in Indiana,pa and hope for a snowstorm or do I go back home to philly and watch history?

Tough one... given how close you are I wouldn't make that decision til Sunday at earliest if you can help it. Hell, I didn't make the final decision on coming back for last years Snowtober until the afternoon before, and I'm 2300 miles away

I'd go for snow if it looks likely in the Laurels by sunday.

make sure you add in impacts for the phl region....the irony in this though...you are a tropical guy in state college. We potentially get hit with tropical system. You in state college may have to worry about snow lolz.

Reading around, there is going to be bitter disappointment for the weenies in (atleast) one subforum. Can't wait to see which one.

Based on model consensus, it would take alot for us to get "the shaft" (although that could still change 3 days out).

Yeah I don't get why anyone from Delmarva north would be banging the bust drums...honestly much like the 1991 halloween storm people far away from the ground zero of this thing will see decently stormy weather from the sensible weather perspective.

I'm guessing large battering waves will be crashing into the Atlantic City casinos with a track up the Delaware Bay. Wow. Not good. Hope they close in advance. In fact, as much as I want to see what this storm can do, I truly hope people take this storm seriously and prepare for the worst. You would hate to see lives lost. H*ll I'm well inland up in NW Monmouth County and I'm taking every precaution neccessary, I sure hope people along the actual shoreline do! I started getting the word out to my friends, family and coworkers on Monday, so they are well ahead of the game.

I work for Caesars and we always close our properties in the event of dangerous weather. We closed Our New Orleans and Biloxi properties for Isaac earlier this year. I can't speak for the other companies but it's always safety first with us. If the models stick the way they are, I am sure we will announce something.
