lol...how soon we forget. Most were sick of the cold Jun/Jul in 2009 on the forums. Much above normal mins are just so exciting too. Lows in the mid 60s every night...exhilirating!

Yeah, we mentioned how cold it was in June/July 2009 and it was actually record breaking in several spots around here...but what such short memories some have around here. We didn't spend hours talking about how cold it was...we did bring up the records that were falling that summer though as we would any time. We haven't had record breaking heat up here this summer, so its really not much to facilitate a lot of talk....if we experienced what they got out in the midwest or even M.A., it would have triggered more discussion.

And yes, people were dying for warmer weather by mid July 2009.

I assure you, if Nov-March ended up minus 2 to 4, this place would have a zillion posts...no one would get sick about posting on the relentless cold.

Only because this would likely mean a big snow winter.

Otherwise, you wouldn't see the board posting much if we had another 1980-1981...well maybe you would, but it would be people b**ching about lack of snow.

I wonder if last nights cool wx brought GC to peak color?

I love the way you twist "trees coloring up" to these 50% color comments (yesterday) and this one. :)

lol

There are some maples and birch turning but I think it is most likely stress induced from lack of water or whatever.

Here's a stressed hillside today in GC. Changing--just like I've said. No more, no less. And, each day it gets more pronounced.

With all the concerns Joe has...Litchfield Libations is now Lord of the Levees.

Just care about my fellow americans and that wonderful tidal area. Building the levees adds to the destruction of the bayou and barrier islands by not letting silt flow downstream. Not building the levees puts people at risk, its a no win situation, but those wetlands are dissapearing faster than Kevins hair:(

I don't feel bad for those who lose their house on the beach either. Mother Nature always wins.

Edit: I never want to see someone lose their home, but that is the price you pay for nice views.

As you have seen from video, most living down in that parish were not wealthy people, and there are plenty of people that live near the sea, ocean, gulf etc etc that are not rolling in money.

Its sad no matter how you slice it, but as you said MONA always always wins
