MSG-3 has been in early-orbit phase since the 5th and will be handed over to EUMETSAT tomorrow. It's the 3rd unit in the 4 unit constellation of European weather satellites and roughly matches the operational spec of current generation GOES orbiters: full disc scanning in 12 wavelengths every 15 minutes, search & rescue transponders, solar irradiance sensors, etc...
