He will need to put it in the greenhouse if it dips into the upper 20s. I have plants already going dormant. Little early, but I think that's due to the stressful drought conditions. andyhb
By seeing what is happening around the Toronto area and then just north of me I can usually extrapolate what they would draw over my area. It does get harder if you go much farther south though. LOL
Chicago Storm
Re: Fall Foliage... Had about 10% coverage this time last week when the first frost occured, but we're up to about 25% coverage now. If the upcoming cool pattern ends up occuring we'll probably peak around mid-month, which is average.

BowMeHunter
UWM Downer Woods from the north tower. Sorry for the bad quality. sick. I can't ever remember the colors being as vibrant as this yr. we have next wed/thurs/friday planned for driving across the southern part of the state but it looks like it will be past peak in many areas Thankfully we're blessed to have so many parks and tree's right around the house so I'm still getting to annoy the wife to no end with all of my oh's and ahh's and look at that like I do with snow mounds. I have a problem lol.
Geos
UWM Downer Woods from the north tower. Sorry for the bad quality. That's an awesome picture still! I can see there's a screen in the way, so not a camera issue. Colors are so vibrant this year. Everything seems to be turning color at the same time - from the trees to the shrubs and roadside vines. I got to get some more pictures soon, because I think the peak will be early next week.

Yep, definitely rounding into peak form. I have a good view looking out on the east side of the house, so I'll take a picture in the near future at a time where I feel it is near peak. TugHillMatt
Nearing peak foliage here on the lakeshore of western Michigan. The trees have exploded in vibrant colors over the past week and a half. For all of its beauty, I unfortunately think this is going to be a quick fall foliage season. (I can tell the trees were stressed from this summer and they're not holding on to leaves very long.)

weatherbo
Hey everyone. Moved from Indiana to far northern Michigan over the late summer. I live in Ellsworth about 10 miles south of charlevoix and six miles from lake Michigan. Gorgeous here! Color is peak or nearing it. Had 2 freezes already and low temps in the 30's for over a week. Looking forward to the snow. Afd today mentions some wet flakes this weekend (maybe). A big adjustment living here.... No Internet service as of yet... Too many hills blocking me. Have one more company to try but apparently they don't make it this way very often.... Lol

SchaumburgStormer
Nice pics...Fall is the best time of year for feel/atmosphere on a college campus. I have to disagree... That first warm day in march when you walk on the quad and the cutoff shorts and skimpy tank tops have returned is the best time of year on a college campus. Then went to Old Mission, Petosky, Harbor Springs and back to Petosky all on Wednesday. Ended up at the Odawa Casino that evening and won 2500 bucks. Then drove home Thursday morning. All in all a quiet trip up North.
