blazess556
Is there a way to calculate “Wet Bulb Globe Temperature” using existing variables such as Temperature & humidity? I know one term in the equation is the mean radiant temperature which is temperature measured inside a 6 inch diameter ball that is painted dark black. I know one term in the equation is the mean radiant temperature which is temperature measured inside a 6 inch diameter ball that is painted dark black. http://en.wikipedia....obe_Temperature You can get the "Natural Wet Bulb Temperature" from temperature and humidity/dewpoint with a chart like this (or find your own): http://www.fhs.d211....ve humidity.bmp Not sure how you'd get the Globe Thermometer Temperature. There may be a formula/approximation/chart to get it from solar radiation, but it's probably easier to just measure it with a black-globe thermometer. If this isn't one of the "existing variables" you were talking about, then the short answer would be--no.
aslkahuna
You need that Black Globe temperature in order to calculate WBGT-we used to do that all of the time at FHU but it's been many years since I last did so. Steve
