RIC_WX
I am almost starting to get used to it. Maybe we get a break starting in 2013? In an act of total serendipity, I got to take a trip mid month to someplace where it was not summer. Excellent timing.
RIC Airport
Very warm overnight lows helped contribute to this overall. At RIC for example, 29 days featured a low temperature of 70°F or higher. This is the most on record. From 1897-2012, the average number of days with a low temperature of 70 °F or higher is 14 days. In addition, there were 6 days with a low 75°F or higher while the average for this is only 3 days for an entire year.
