a pair of embedded supercells in central NJ showing rotation now..especially the one entering Middlesex county

On animation, looks similar to SPC's wording -

BOW/LEWP FORMATIONS AND EMBEDDED MESOCIRCULATIONS MAY DEVELOP...IN

TURN OFFERING LOCALLY ENHANCED RISK FOR DAMAGING GUSTS...AS WELL AS

POSSIBILITY OF A BRIEF TORNADO.

It's over? I thought it was this afternoon/evening that featured the best chance of severe? Guess I wasn't paying close enough attention.

It's not over, lol. I'm messing with him. All he had to do was look at SPC's outlook and he wouldn't ask that question. It was always supposed to be 2 rounds today.

It's amazing. In my travels, I run 3 round trips from Trexlertown to Hazleton, which is 50 miles each direction. In those travels I saw the distant storms, and the associated lightning with them. Somehow, they all missed the 309/100 corridor, and I was left with intermittant rain showers.

Really localized storms. Had 1.56 in the gauge this morning. Further north- the less further west even more

Yup sounds like a perfect description for what was going on there for a moment..Though none of the severe potential highlighted there was met obviously

I think svr weather is pretty much shot this aft and eve. Scattered storms around sure they will be around. I just don't remember many outbreaks when we had a wall of water like we did this morning till about noon then turned around and had svr storms later that afternoon and evening. Plus, the stuff out in weatern pa wont be here till at least this evening. Parameter wise, the mid level lapse rates aren' t that great, the best shea is now over li and sne, cape is around a 1000 or below, the Li is alright in the -3 to -4 range.

There was some discussion over in our sub forum about this. Apparently a lot of the big outbreaks have had heavy rainfall in the morning. Not saying this will happen here but it's worth noting. One event I remember is June 2008 for the DC folks like me - we had showers and storms in the morning (even a few rounds maybe) and then a massive derecho type thing in the afternoon).

it would be interesting to note when everything moved out. I could see if we had rain till like 9 then had several hours for the atmosphere to recharge. But most of the areas around here didnt stopp raining till after 113o or 12. Also, we really arent getting full bore sunshine it more or less just broken clouds with some peaks.
