N. OF PIKE
steve pretty big swell filtering in right now from leslie, guess it helps that she's been sitting in our swell window not really moving for 4 days with a strong swath of SE/SSE winds pointing toward SNE (40-65mph winds) w/ decent fetch. bouys near shore pinging at 5.6 @ 14.8 seconds (50 miles se of nantucket) , i'd love to see kev venture into the water on his boggie board in that . swell should start pounding S RI beaches inconsistently right about now. 5.6 @ 14.8 is a Very powerful wave , i would think swell should stay in that range for a day or two , with the period dropping down to 12.9-13.4 sec's and size building to near 7-7.5 feet by thursday sometime. Yeah I just never really bought the fascination with Leslie given that the most extreme solution possible still had the thing east of ACK by a fair amount. I think the threat for cut-offs and heavy rain/SOS kind of stuff is more real.

Canadian comes awfully close with a PRE for the Outer Cape, which is sort of an impact. If by close we mean w/i about 150 miles.
