The Tropical Prediction Center has issued a Dry Paint Watch for all of Americanwx.

A Dry Paint Watch is issued when the possibilty exists for the entire site to realize that the tropical cyclone that they thought they were watching is actually drying paint within 36-48 hours.

If Issac's transition to drying paint becomes imminent, then a Dry Paint Warning may be issued.

Drying Paint is accompanied by frequent gusts of rage, with sustained bouts of restlessness, and a severe surge of inane posts, accompanied by hallucinations.

Stay tuned to the Tropical Prediction Center and your local National Weather Service for updates on this static situation.

That main thread has been abysmal, the few respected mets aside. I mean, do understand the passion and geekdom that goes along with meteorology, but after a week of staring at a computer screen, some of those kids might want to step away from the pc.

And the hyper-analyzing is funny after a while. Where's the moderation of all of the useless posts regarding a jog in path, or even the hurricane hunter not flying due west, but wsw...:/

Hopefully we get our frustrating near-miss in September, gfs is hinting.

Mods are too busy worrying about suggestive Avatars.

LOL at all the hours spent by some chasing a tropical storm. My gut says many will be disapointed in this one. Hard to get a decent storm the past few years after all the craziness of 2004 and 2005....

Who is chasing? This is a hobby, some of us find this incredibly fascinating. Hard to get disappointed when no one here that posts expected a Katrina. Spiking the football?

Not saying that's there's an issue with the tracking of it and the enjoyment that comes from that-but there's alot of weenie ism and hyping going on (not just here, but in the media-for example-CNN saying that Isaac is following the path of Katrina-while true, what's the real message of that headline-HYPE.)

just my opinion, but this one seems like a classic underachiever except in the rainfall dept.

Ok but that's not how it read. The media is fooking stupid and getting dumber, hyps sells ask Kevin. All that being said what do you make of the Euro,Isaacs intensity right now is what it predicted last night. If come Wed we have a 975 storm not a 949 then it was a model bust. Do you remember Opal? Picture that explosiveness as Isaac approaches land, that what's theEuro depicts. In no way do I say that is what will happen but do you just totally disregard it? Lots of story line left.
