NE Tropical Thread

Heh, almost looks via sat like this thing wants to split into two distinct vort maxes. It kind of looks as though the overnight mid lvl center bifurcated from the low llvs and drifted through the Islands this morning, leaving the low llv center and its currently newly attending convection behind. The next confusion is that elongated "bar" shaped cyclone.

Totally a crap shoot, although I slightly leaning towards a gulf coast impact (FL most likely) over a E FL landfall. Still plenty of time for shifts.

Yea 80 knots or even TS with a boatload of rain, pretty meh iit would appear today but its the tropics, intensity is all guess work until it gets close despite what anyone says.

lol...I don't do it, but I don't mind when folks from other regions post in NE or elsewhere. As long as they are polite, or show a sense of humor.

Life is too short

I have seen more that come in throwing jabs then polite, Joyce has my attention more so then Isaac

I am amazed how really hyped up some pros get. I literally LOld at a Twitter post I saw last night that said the Dominican Republic would see a huge surge with Isaac, uh a 40 knot tropical storm with East NE winds will not send 20 ft waves on the southern shores of the Dominica. We are not talking IKE values here.

I've already given up hope for a transitioning monster with 90 mph gusts and a foot or more of rain up the Connecticut River valley. Makes me a little sad.

I was hoping for a straight westward shot through the GOM transforming into a Galveston 5, that way we all pay 15 dollars a gallon and your power would be out for months.

I will say, as an enternal optimist, SNE has had major tropical events at the Equinox. In Texas, the Equinox is unofficially game over. Texas mod Steve will point out a half cane in 1989 in October, and there was a legitimate major in 1949, but 3rd week of September, it is over.

Now, New England, where amplifying troughs can be a good thing, and Westerlies reaching lower locations, if it isn't 10/Joyce, you guys still have an AEW or three to go, plus a Hazel-ish October Caribbean system that could bring joy to the forum.

Glass half full.

Rant: I can't bring myself to follow every little change as this crappy TS plows through the Caribbean. Someone call me when this thing starts rocking. Its remnants better stay the hell away from us next week. I need a break after this ridiculous month!

Word. We can start microanalyzing stuff on Monday. Everything between now and then is model watching.
