ATTENTION MEMBERS: Changes in the NYC subforum

Over the past few weeks, John (earthlight) and I have been discussing the state of our subforum, and we have both come to the same conclusion that some action needs to be taken to offer a better forum for all current and new members and pro mets, especially during potential impact wx events.

Effective immediately, a handful of forum members will be placed on a 5 post per day limit. This list has been compiled and checked by multiple members of the staff. We feel that this will help raise the quality of posts made, by making people think more before hitting the "post" button.

If we see an improvement in post quality from these members, we will consider removing the restriction at some point in the future, on a case-by-case basis.

Please know that by doing this, we are not trying to discourage participation... we only want to make the participation more meaningful, for amateurs and professionals alike.
