mattie g
That moisture feed coming into DC kind of fell apart. Still some moisture way south, but I'm not feeling confident of it getting here. Then again...I don't know if the system is tapping into moisture from Issac, so what I think doesn't really matter.

Avdave
IS THIS SYSTEM TAPPING INTO MOISTURE FROM ISAAC? Nope not at all, it is remnants from Tropical system Helene and an Upper level low swinging through.
mattie g
Nope not at all, it is remnants from Tropical system Helene and an Upper level low swinging through. Cool. Thanks. I asked because I noticed that the radar was unbroken all the way down off the NC coast, so I took a look at the water vapor loop. From that, it looked like the moisture feed for this is "connected" to the northernmost moisture from Isaac. Thus the question.

No problem, Im not sure if that was 100% right, I heard someone say some remnants of Heleen got sucked into it and then the ULL was the main culprit, but it kind of makes sense since these are Tropical like in nature. Yeah, Ian mentioned that it's partially the mid-level remnants of Helene. I thought it interesting that there seemed some sort of connection between this and Isaac, but if not, then it's just coincidental. Cool by me.
