H2O
I think this is the first time we've gotten one of these pulsers, certainly in the last month or so. Kind of nice. It's really ripping it down. Radar shows a nice pop up
mattie g
Radar shows a nice pop up Yup - it built just far enough south to get into the good rainfall rates around here. Still moderate rain right now, but it was torrential for about 2-3 minutes, and the wind was gusting upwards of 30 easily. Color me happy!
Ian
Little boundaries firing up. DC hotspot again. I should wander back outside there were some nice towers around before the t'showers blossomed.

mattie g
Rain has gotten light now. I don't have a gauge, but I'm guessing we got over an inch in 30 minutes. Hopefully some of the stations in my neighborhood will have a reliable report.

Avdave
Sweet! My long, local nightmare is over! you are kicking my ass in rainfall but a little pulser here just popped up. Heavy rains and some nice wind. No thunder or lightning though. So far .45" of rain in the bucket Ian is right again, the more you complain you will get the rain. Garden and me happy. Of course I ran the front sprinkler all over the front yard to water the lawn and now this, go figure. LOL Water on the street,

Usually these pop up over us and move quickly over to Ashburn and points east, but not this time. Looks like I'll be cutting grass for a second consecutive week. Yeah, Ashburn and Poolesville, Md always seem to get it, this was a nice change of pace for us. .57 looks to be the final in the bucket. Gladly take it. I even saved the radar images to re live thru it again next time we go into a dry spell

Congrats...I know it feels nice to get under one of those showers and finally get a soaking rain. One of the stations around the corner shows 1.34" from yesterday, which makes perfect sense. We had heavy rain for a good 15-20 minutes, with a torrential downpour for a couple minutes right at the beginning. We also had some really stong winds in that downpour, but not too terribly much wind after that - I did take the dog for a walk afterwards and saw half a tree on someone's car, so that shows you we had some good winds. Of course, even though I saw the radar before it rained, I started to mow the lawn for the second time in two months. I wasn't even 1/4 of the way done when the skies opened up. It was cool though...the front yard was getting rained on pretty good, but the backyard only had a few big raindrops - that went on for about 30 seconds until the skies opened up. I looked on the street-by-street radar and confirmed that we were on the very southern tip of that cell at that point. Neat stuff.
CranberryWX
The mornings have been cool lately, getting into the low to mid 50s. Moisture from that frontal rain a few days ago has dried up and the 7 day forecast has no mention of rain.
EastCoast NPZ
Another nice morning here. 57 for the low, Got fringed by some heavy rains yesterday afternoon. Areas just east and south of MBY had some torrential downpours, but I only got a couple hundredths, just enough to wet the ground. Congrats to the NOVA guys for finally getting in on the action.
