EastCoast NPZ
I ought to be used to seeing precip dissipate directly overhead, but today's radar loop has left me speecless. Just watch that radar loop AviationDave posted, and note what happens just south of Winchester. We, somehow, did not receive even a single drop. smh...... H2O
some more showers inbound It was another nice 15 min of mod rain here. Not an all day soaker but every drop was a good one.

aldie 22
Eff you Radar, EFF YOU!!!! We got our normal 47 raindrops as usual here. This place really does suck for QPF in any form. We do well with snow as compared to the region....that's really what counts isn't it Dave?

Disc
Had a really heavy downpour earlier. Forgot the car windows were open, so it was a mad dash outside to close them.

WVclimo
Just picked up a quick half-inch of rain in 15 minutes from the line moving through here. Now at 3.66" for August. 27 mph wind gust with the rain, and temp has dropped back to 65 degrees.
EastCoast NPZ
Will the storms make it east I'm reminded of a saying that can be applied to storms in the northern Shenandoah Valley, "if you can make here, you can make it anywhere." Enjoy the storms.

Ian
Berk's weenieism notwithstanding, the line looks pretty interesting. It's running into a less conducive environment and none of the updrafts are sustaining enough to do anything of note. It's brief heavy rain and some rumbles if you're in the right spot. mattie g
If you were only looking at the pretty colors on the TDWR, you'd think we were about to get Hit pretty good, especially down in southern Prince William County.

One of those solid lines we never get anymore! Right now only n MD has thunder. Most of these things have tops around 15k.
