nw baltimore wx
Gentle light rain here so much for slight chance of a pm shower 20% from yesterdays pm forecast from akq Still have a 30% chance of showers for the day here, but I suspect that will change soon. Actually, the text forecast says 50%. Should have looked there to begin with.

Riptide
So, what kind of system is this; it has similarities to a winter storm? The cold front already passed through, it's like a mixture of an MCS and a snowstorm.

Stormpc
Good for you folks in DC! Just got my fertilizer down as it started to sprinkle (have held off fertilizing since June since I am in that local drought zone). Now a steady light rain with more to come. This IS the best day of the summer for me.

WVclimo
Spent the past week at the OBX. Forecast from MHX was basically wrong every day. All the rain fell on days when none was forecasted. Came back yesterday to a forecast of no rain here today and a high of 79. It is pouring and 65.
mattie g
Just got back from brunch in the city. Crossed Memorial Bridge and it was like someone had laid down a tarp on the Virginia side of the river - completely dry.
WVclimo
So, what kind of system is this; it has similarities to a winter storm? The cold front already passed through, it's like a mixture of an MCS and a snowstorm. Its a couple of weeks earlier this year, but the Labor Day weekend storm in 2002 was kinda similar to this one. Eastern Shore of MD had 5-10" of cold rain from that one. Up your way got hit pretty hard too, iirc. That storm was so different than what the summer pattern had been. Hope this is a similar harbinger.

Yeah it's kinda just raining itself out and slowly drifting. Hard to see how most people won't get some rain today though... main shield isn't terribly intense though.
