Did anyone else notcice the strange clouds over southern Frederick County, Md tonite around 7-7:30pm?? They were like waves or drapery. i took pictures but have no clue how to upload them here.

My view to the South is somewhat obscured by trees. Maybe you saw mammatus clouds? If you upload to a site like photobucket, you can then link it to this page.

I can see to my south but where in Southern Frederick Co. are you, as I did not see anything. I use photobucket like Tradewinds suggested. Then copy the direct link and use the Image icon in your reply. It will allow you to paste the direct link and presto we will be able to see what you saw. :D

Edit: Now that I had my first real chance to be outside and enjoy the day:

1) It's really nice IN the sun. Temp 80, nice gentle breeze.

2) Cloud ceiling is gone. Upper levels are basically blue sky ... with about 30% clouds at lower levels, so a lot of sunshine going on right now. Good daytime heating ingredient hopefully underway now for later today.

8/9 - 0.33"

8/10 thru noon - 0.32"

Temp range today so far: 70.0 to 79.6 (current temp at 2pm)

Amazing. I haven't gotten so much as a drop. Both lines of storms today stayed just north, and now there is a very active cell missing us to the west. Anything notable other than the rain?

Sorry, didn't see this post. The wind became a big deal about an hour into that storm. Lots of limbs down, several uprooted large trees close by. I had an ash snap about 25 feet up. It was about 14" at the point it snapped so that was pretty impressive. The strange part was that that storm was never severe warned and it ended up worse than most of the storms we've had.

I've got some good pics if someone could explain to me how to upload them from this iPhone.
