I like both extremes... 100 degree heat in summer and 0 degree cold in winter. Maybe if I had to work outdoors in it I wouldn't feel the same way but luckily I don't. The extremes dont keep me inside though, especially the cold. I love to bundle up and take a walk in the cold... I dont belong to the "if it ain't gonna snow it might as well be warm" group.

Same here. If it's not going to snow then it better be cold at least. Winter to me isn't growing grass and yellow jackets flying around in mid January.

He's lying to himself.

No human can possibly prefer 95/75 over 90/55 for anything outdoors.

90/55 is still very hot and perfect for any heat lover.

95/75 is atrocious and impossible for anything outdoors.

The heat mongers lie to themselves, pretending they love 95/75.

I get what you're saying, but I'm sure you know that outside the warped minds on this board that people would say the exact same thing about people who like cold temperatures. There are plenty on this board that get excited the colder it gets, which is asinine. People have different tastes - the end.

Your last two sentences contradict each other. :)

Give me heat in the summer and snow in the winter. I could do without cold with no snow. I enjoy the heat, humid or not the hotter the better. I spend much of my time out doors in the summer. As I grow older the cold is less tolerable. But add snow and the cold aint so bad.

Perhaps worse than the cold are those dingy cloudy/rainy cool days in the spring or fall. Im talking 40 to 50 and rain.

I think it is asinine to love cold. I also despise 75F dewpoints. I meant it as a personal opinion, but also to show that people aren't "lying" when they say they enjoy 75F dewpoints any more than they are "lying" when they say they enjoy 15F temperatures. I should have clarified.

I think it is really rather amazing how every single three month temperature outlook issued by the CPC has this area in above normal temperatures as a likely probability straight through October 2013....

I sometimes enjoy a nice light to moderate all day rain event with temps in the low 50s and leaves on the ground. It evokes a great cozy feeling.

Agree with this. Mainly because it gives me an excuse to lay on the couch all day without feeling guilty.

Beautiful morning for my birthday. The one nice day of the week. Perfect.

That's because they're basing the norms on the 1981-2010 averages which are useless for today. If we we add 2 or 3 degrees to those figures we'll have the new normals for our present climate.

I think the GFS is programmed to always show an east coast hurricane threat in the long range:

Haha. Been noticing that as well the last 5 days worth of runs almost all had a storm near the coast somewhere in the 300 - 384 hour timeframe
