LOL How could you have missed all that?

He got banned for mouthing off at the powers that be here...but I didn't think he used any offensive language or did anything

unethical, fraudulent, etc. He just wouldn't let it go and became very annoying to them. I guess that kind of thing gets you an indefinite ban here.

Is Pete banned fromt he weather side now, too?

I obviously haven't been posting much this summer.

He took a few things too far and didn't know when to stop...Im sure we all miss the daily tirades about how he's being repressed and his first amendment rights are getting crushed by not allowing him to post in OT. Someone finally had enough of it so he's gone from the weather side.

Meh on your analysis. I think he is quite content now.

Ehhh I like him but he definitely went too far several times. I don't go to OT but I've never seen attacks like that on the weather side since posting on these boards. It was too much. It's a bummer he couldn't drop it because he enjoyed being the cold ying to LL's yang.

What's it like to moderate that cesspool? How do you look past the stuff that gets said there?

Yep, its his board I just move stuff around to their proper areas. We have had some good convos on the weather side and the political guys like it. The rest is garbage from forum wars and balless posters. Like I said a hundred times, Pete is my friend and several others are his friends too. We can talk shop at our leisure and not worry about anyone trying to protect scientific integrity or cause trouble. I love AMWX, well the weather side, but am very pleased Pete has a forum. for the reasons above. A great byproduct is it keeps the idiot Dudley do rights out of our sub forum. They have found new targets.

You're a good man bro. Hope we meet up for some skiing at B' East this winter.

Now on the weather side: Another nice day shaping up in Falmouth. Hour of heavy rain this morning now sunny skies and heading for the low 80's. Nice week to be down here. Just don't try to drive anywhere if you're in a hurry. lol

So a coworker brings me in this great book with just fantastic photos. Great New England Storms of the 20th century. The Boston Globe put it out and they have these profiles of weathermen scattered throughout. Couple of things, I never knew Met Kevin Lemanowicz is from Moosup! Dr Mel said " when population density is factored into the tornado occurrence equation, the odds of a person being effected are greater in Wmass and CT than in any other part of the country" I like this quote" Thomas Jefferson said there wasn't as much snow as when he was a boy. That is what everybody says. If that were so, there would not be any snow anymore. (ha) Great book with a lot of photos I had never seen.

I remember when I was a kid my dad had a book called "Great New England Snowstorms" or some such thing. Probably published back around 1960 if I had to guess. Probably one of those things that got me hooked on weather.

I think its a perception thing....a given amount of snow seems greater when you're a kid.

That's kind of uncalled for eek

Agreed 100%

Agree also

The banning was deserved and he isnt helping his case for a winter return. Now let's drop it and stick to wx.

I don't think he was planning on returning anyways
