Bumpy ride in for sure.

The cold front sort of stalls, however, and pumps up warmth from the south. I told my mom to expect a very mild weekend in London with temperatures well into the 80s. Models have 24C 850s north of Paris, so I assume Paris would get into the 90s with that kind of warmth in the mid-levels. I told her that there would be a stronger cold front sometime next week, nonetheless, and that by the time she arrives in Paris around August 24th, it will have probably cooled off to the 70s. She used to live over there so she's used to the fluctuations. London had a very rainy, almost historically cool start to the summer, so this is quite a change for them. I remember how bad the weather was when I was watching Wimbledon on TV.

clear skies

77/77

Do you mean 67?

Had the best thunder/lightning of the season come through at 4:00am. Mentioned in the severe thread that I had I thnkin three strikes that had to have been within a quarter mile of the house. Kept power, so they must have hit trees. I'll have to take a look once the it gets light.

Here's a link to official bid without the commentary - it is bizarre. I can see NOAA, but the NWS specifically? Just what does it need 50,000 rounds of ammo for? Turtle says it's for a fisheries department but that is part of NOAA, not the NWS.

https://www.fbo.gov/...9150cb&_cview=0

FYI, there is a thread on this on the main forum.

Yes, there is also a thread in PR. There is slink in that thread to a Washington Post piece explaining the relationship. I think the actual department is the NFS.

Ensembles are not swamp azz after early next week. A front hangs up it appears and it looks more inclement then anything with even E-NE winds possible with the front slowly shifting south. That features is questionable, but it doesn't look like what we've seen.

Theyu're certainly not cool and certainly not low dews which is what I was getting at

Hopefully that front sets up shop right on the pike....that way, everyone is happy.....sweatstainslibations and our other, emaciated friend can can hold sweaty hands and prance off into a sun that will never set.

The humidity will be back again, but I just want a change of airmass now and then as we cool down.
