Mr Torchey
Well if you are talking about Steve...that's for you guys. But, yesterday it looked like 70 dews were possible as the day went on down your way. So maybe it occurred 4 hrs earlier than models had...I don't see that as a bust. Sure I didn't give a number like everyone has been obsessed with lately, but I honestly think your 70 dew was certainly warranted. I don't see that as a bust...and that's my honest opinion. The issue is you just take it for granted that I was speaking about you, I was not, Kevin took a lot of slack about dews...........its fooking humid as all hell right now 72 is oppressive. Argument is old and boring.
dryslot
Can't wait for fall as the talk of constant heat, high dews and lack of precip has definitely affected quite a few on this board
powderfreak
Scott, I have an incredible amount of respect for you, but this has just become a stupid game. Last week Steve was shoving euro ens maps down our throat screaming dry and coc all week, some tried to point out that using 500mb maps might not be the best idea. Powderboy was talking dews of 50s all week, (which might be true up there who knows), there was a lot of anti humidity talk. To not admit it, or say that it happened is wrong, I am not going to go back and quote all the bs............dews were not supposed to be in the low 70s down here yet, and nobody forecasted it. You do know you live on the south coast? Occasionally forecasts geared towards New England on the whole will bust warm for you being the far south. Up here, we'll be cooler than the blanket statements for New England. You gotta know your area and not take it too literally. When Coastal or Will or who ever states something, I assume it's more general for New England or at least ORH-BOS latitude. Then sort of use that and skew it to your local area. You will generally be more humid than folks talk about on here because of your location. I've got 57 for a dew up here, southern NH is low 60s, ORH/BDL/BOS is mid 60s, you are in the low 70s. I wouldn't get too caught up in the fact that it's getting humid in the far south.

CT Rain
Thankfully high dews may cause enough condensation in Tolland and Fairfield to damage routers and modems soon.

CoastalWx
I believe Scooter called for the first half of August to be manky anyway... I think I just said it looked like a classic warm/muggy 1st half. It looked like we may see more rain chances and periodic fropas too which seems like it will occur in the next couple of weeks...along with some cooler intrusions into the GL region. Maybe east with time?

I just remember either on here..or maybe when we chased the cane out on the Cape you gave me some very kind words, and said i really know my stuff about the wx or something to that effect. But lately you and some of the other mets have really been kind of berating to some of us that don;t have degrees. I dish out a lot, so can take alot..but it's an observation several people have noticed(mets included) and talked to me about. Again..it's more just an observation..You guys do what you want. Whatever works and keeps everyone happy I guess
