The drier air over the last 24 hours provided one of the clearest views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range in NH, seen from the top of Mount Mansfield in a long time.

I can't remember the last time it was so clear up there. All day long it was very visible on the horizon although in the afternoon it got a bit more hazed over. This morning was awesome though.

The pic doesn't do it justice and I need a better lens for these long shots.

From the highest peak in VT to the highest peak in NH this morning.

Accurate expensive home stations where there is flora and grass and people live and fake Tarmac ASOS stations with no vegetation so they improperly dry can both be used

So if the vegetation is only about 100 yards away it's not accurate? I didn't know temps and dews could be so drastically altered.

Sunny and Humid, I enjoyed the 30 hrs of lower dews, but this is August and yes it seems like the higher sst's are having an effect on dews, they rose much quicker than even I thought.

Stank and Mank................jugs and mugs, viva la summer

So why is it that ASOS stations like Central Park NYC that have trees around somehow still appear to have dews comparable (if not lower) to other airports around the area?

Up here there are trees near MVL that may be affecting it's precipitation collection, but yet it's dews are still cooler than most home stations.

And your "accurate" home station is NOT expensive when compared to an ASOS.
