N. OF PIKE
i wonder when powder freak will post leaves changing color at 3.5K in NVT. could they not start changing now. i'm sure temps at 3.5k are fall like enuf there
scoob40
Relevancy to a cool morning? Sorry your concrete neighborhood does not allow radiational cooling bro. Not really. CEF radiates like a mofo on clear calm nights. Somtimes their lows even come in below those of your best bro up in W. Chesterfield.
CapturedNature
i wonder when powder freak will post leaves changing color at 3.5K in NVT. could they not start changing now. i'm sure temps at 3.5k are fall like enuf there I believe average peak for the NEK and the higher elevations of the Greens are late Sept. I'd expect to see changing a few weeks prior to that. Temps, insolation and precip can all affect when the real change happens. I think any leaves changing/falling off now are probably a result of fungus or hydro/heat issues. Maple, birch, aspen, etc. are all "cooler" climate type trees. Cold Miser
i wonder when powder freak will post leaves changing color at 3.5K in NVT. could they not start changing now. We start seeing color at our Adirondack home (around 2000') in late August. (I know you weren't asking me, but just throwing my 2 cents out there)

Tropopause_Fold
i'm not expecting it to come to fruition or anything...it's just a sign of the season starting to show itself in NWP. it's just little things that start to appear this time of year. In short i'm looking forward to cooler temps.

Let's just say there's more extracurricular nonsense than weather going on over there. Hopefully it gets better in the winter. I may be wrong but I'd say a good portion of those M.A. people are there to see what kind of bad mouthing is going on, or just keep the fires going, and not really there to support the forum. There's really only a handful of steady posters, others just seemed to join to observe from the shadows.

That's what we'll have..probably 70s for a good chunk if it rains significantly on Saturday. If we can get a few breaks..than we can do low 80s. Scattered downpours and t-storms on and off between sunny breaks certainly doesn;t constitute a rainy weeekend. It may pour/thunder for an hour...then sun..then another storm...just like what we had this past weekend on Sunday. It's not like we're looking at a cloudy all day rain event..This isn;t April lol
