Well of course we had some fun with that because it wasn't entirely true. But, what did happen is that some of these cooler intrusions of air modeled 2 weeks out modified a bit as we got closer. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that's what you meant...but I wouldn't say it was because it trended north.

Will saw a naked butt..and pounced

Who has been arguing? i certainly haven't? In case anyone has noticed..I have totally changed the way I've posted on here. When was the last time i posted an AWT or anything like that. Though i've seen mets do it even yetserday.

Scooter has been the only one lately who has been confrontational...Maybe Joe too.

you've been a good boy. honestly i appreciate it too.

Well he also hasn't been around half the time because he was on vacation. Now he's back. :yikes:

True, he's been busing scalding his dome in the OC heat.

Back to the discussion at hand, I'm curious about the evolution of the weekend. 18z GFS is more progressive with this ULL that the 12z Euro. We have see a tendency of the Euro to do some weird things with these ULL if I recall.

Are they ripening? Everyone I talk to around here (W. Ma.) has tons of fruit on their plants but nothing is ripening. I blame it on plenty of moisture in early June and then dry conditions slowing things to a crawl.

Very few ripened here. Zucchini have taken gargatuan proportions, though.

Also, we just had the appearance of the hateful tomato hornworms yesterday.

Thats strange that your fruit is not ripening, banner year down this way, interesting indeed. Hornworms> :gun:

They are the worst. Never saw them (or heard of them) until two summers ago. Almost overnight, they ate 80% of the plants--leaves and tomatoes. Voracious!

Wonder if that guy threw some butter in the pan and sauteed those bad boys up after making the vid, quite possible.

The first week of September per weeklies looks warmer than normal. We are at week 4 mind you, and the tropics can cause model mayhem...so just throwing that out there.

Thanks, I guess I have to stand behind my predicition of September being very warm. It will be interesting but as climo cools, nothing wrong with a warm pleasant September its not like its leaf or snow season outside GC. September has always been one of my favorite months, I know Kevin shares this same opinion.

I also want to lean warm, but September can be a changeable month so I'm a little nervous with that.

They destroyed our tomatoes last year. We returned from Florida to big fat worms and no plants...

just green fruit so far, but our cherry tomatoes were abundant

I think we eventually pay, with the drought and ridge to the west you would think if we can get into a westerly flow, we should be pretty warm, time will tell I guess, by then I prefer 82/40

With the tropical season and what not, we usually see that drought diminish. The nuclear ridge from all summer weakens and soil moisture will try to make a comeback...although I'm not sure it will ever erase the deficit. IMHO, I think it's the teleconnections that become more important. Will we see the western ridge continue and troughs become deeper in the east, or will we get one lapse gasp from Nina, and the colder air stays in Canada.

All great points, JETS!

Scooter has gotten worse while most have gotten better

Oh snap

You dropped a few weenie bombs today that luckily did not detonate.

Laid that one out didn't you......

I'd still like for you 2 to lay off the tp humor. Sure it's funny and all but it's unnecessary.

Other than that, it's been good. Civil discourse.
