Most folks live in the hills? ;) I know what you are saying, just joking with ya.

So essentially you are saying the private weather stations and not those funky ASOS thingys will still be in the 60s? I could see that but if the PWS are like 60-64F then that might as well be 50s at the official sites out from under Aunt Lucy's maple tree next to the sprinkler.

I think from 3-6pm tomorrow afternoon the climate sites in SNE (except maybe BDR, but you don't count that as SNE, haha) have dews in the 50s.

Ironically more so in the winter but it happens in the summer bdr dews can be MUCH lower than surrounding areas as we downslope and dry air filters down the valley. BDR the downslope dandy locale of sne

I think its safe to say the drought has had a huge dent put in it the last week

Don't tell Kevin that.

There were definitely haves and have nots. I was glad to get some rain but my weekend total was only .50". I think the same was true from Greenfield through Gardner, Fitchburg etc. Hard not to be disappointed when flood watches were up and places just west of here had 4"-5". (Charlemont/Heath is only 15 miles)

Sounds terrible in the middle of summer.

The temp isn't bad its the wind I hate... I'd love the chilly temps and sunshine if it was calm. Sustained at 30mph doesn't seem like much on paper but that's a constant force all day long that seems to slowly take heat away from the body. We gotta dress a lot warmer than for just a low 50s temperature... its one of those things that after hours of a sustained 20-30mph with gusts to 40mph you just want the wind to go calm for like 10 minutes, haha.

Regardless of where it sets up..we get tropical..any kind of S or SE winds off 76 degree water temps..is going to give all of us high dews

Yeah mid to upper 60s probably. Those 70+ dews would likely occur if we get srly flow. The high to the north pumps in drier air at the same time too.If the WF is north of us..probably 70-75 dews again.

I am down at work for a couple hours this AM, DP is 74. Everything is soaked but you can feel the dry air wafting in. This would be a soaked sensor morning with condensation on everything.

Enjoy your coc, are you headin to miz today or tomorrow, salt water does wonders for back issues. Might be something nice too with the offshore wind, at least it will be clean.

Have fun

Depends on the WF.

Do you see any hope for Saturday turning into a reasonably good day?

Hamburgers for dinner tonight.

LOL

In due time, Steve. 67.2/57 at the Pit--coming your way.

The MJO may be on the move fro p8 into p1-2. That means usually increased precip chances and more seasonal to at times below normal temps. This would be near mid month through late month. This would sort of agree with the weeklies, but not entirely. Either way, while cool Canadian weather probably will not occur, it may imply that we see a wetter period with perhaps onshore flow from time to time. I'm sure we'll have some very warm and humid days too....but the point is that mid to late month may not be entirely oppressive like the first 5 days have been.

If the euro op is right, it will...but I'm not sure it's correct being 6 days out and not agreeing with ensembles.

Thanks. OP ftl, probably.

The time to begin fall seeding approaches.......

Temp in reverse. 66.5/58

Note I said usually means. That doesn't mean it won't be like 87/73 or something like that. The way I look at it, is to expect some decent rain chances like late this week and this weekend...and possibly times where temps will be cooler due to onshore flow or clouds. I still expect August to be above normal.
