Ens are really nice. I'm trying to find where the longwave ridge axis moves our way and I can't see it. Looks like alternating shots of warm/hot to cool downs near normal for the next week and then a more sustained stretch of cooler weather for week 2.

Yeah I mean I think it will be warm next week, but I don't see straight 90 temps everyday....at least in BOS.

He forgets everywhere except the tropical paradise sand bar of Fairfield county was below normal for June.

Steve...............look at the last 5 yrs, the body of work, look at the last two years........its mind boggling, global climate change is here, and it s happening right before our eyes. Claiming a one month victory in a 20 month sea of fire is silly.

Facts are Facts.

GW doesn't explain that many months AN in a row. It's not like global temps have risen 5F in the last few years. It's just a statistical burp and a prolonged pattern favorable for warmth.

The PAC NW has almost been the complete opposite. The US has literally taken the global torch award.

Chances of a strong cane coming up the coast are high this year. Get that trough to setup in the Midwest with ever present Bermuda High and blocking. Nowhere to go but due north into our BY

I suppose things could always time perfectly and the best time for this potential would be mid-late September when waves elongate and likely favor East Coast ridging for awhile. But overall, I don't really think this pattern is as supportive as last year.

But monthly average patterns don't mean squat if perfect timing of things occurs. I think 1 or 2 systems probably do in some way affect us but not in the way you described here or Irene did. More like remnants / rainfall.
