Just curious why Worcester would have a heat advy and we don't when it's hotter and more humid here. Does population density factor into the advy?

I have no idea. The HI really isnt that close to heat advisory levels...in the low to mid 90s when you need 100-105F for 2 or more hours for a heat advisory. A few of the lower spots might be flirting with it, but I think most of southern Worcester County will not reach those levels. CEF out in the valley is at a 100 heat index right now though. BDL is still shy of 100F at 98F.

This is the hottest day of the summer to me.

91/66 with heat index of 93 at Morrisville-Stowe Airport.

BTV has a HI of 97F right now.

We've had higher temps but with dews in the 40s and 50s....not mid 60s.

Although it's toasty on the east slope of the Greens, I have no doubt it's cool on the East Slope of the Berks.

87/75

Tropical airmass in place, thankfully a wonderful seabreeze right on the sand, water in long island sound is alarmingly warm, kind of creepy actually and seems odd.

Best summer ever II rolling along.

same down here in Southern NJ--I've been here countless summers--80 degree water is unheard of any month, let alone early august.

Just got back from CT last night. Wife had the pleasure of running a 12-mile race in NL in yesterdays' heat and humidity. Good year for me to take it off! Now, I can hope for some good rains/storms tdoay and tonight, and perhaps maybe some cooler weather for the Bridge of Flowers race this coming Saturday.

OT (can you be ot in the banter thread?), made it down to see Steve and the museum. It's a GREAT place. We got there an hour prior to closing so we didn't have time to really do it justice. I think I'd need 2.5 to really take everything in. But, very imopressive. Go!

Feels like I never left left South Jersey with these beautiful 70+ dews for all to enjoy. They come back by Wed/Thurs into next weekend.

Probably will be some rain and E-SE winds for some of us, so that will mitigate it. They'll be back though. I don't see much of a cool down per se in the next couple of weeks. I do see the chances of rain and onshore flow that will cool off some areas north of any warm front possibly, like the end of July.

Looks like warm front sets up shop in S NH somewhere..Most of SNE is hot and muggy with no COC wx. Aug may come in +3 or even +4
