Was thinking about the 2008 New Hampshire tornado the other day. Unbelievable that the thing was on the ground for 50 miles given this 12z GYX sounding. CHH was more unstable but still with a sharp inversion.

KCON was 22/21 around the time of tornadogenesis.

Shear FTW. We talked about how that cell was overhead at work and people were sort of laughing because it looked like there was rotation as it passed. I guess there was.

Wiz's last chase day of the season today?

...NEW ENGLAND...

THERE IS SOME QUESTION ON THE DEGREE OF INSTABILITY THAT WILL

DEVELOP IN ADVANCE OF THE COLD FRONT ON FRIDAY...HOWEVER AN AXIS OF

1000 - 1500 J/KG OF MLCAPE SEEMS REASONABLE BY AFTERNOON. STRONG

SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL RESULT IN 35-40 KT OF 0-6 KM

SHEAR...SUFFICIENT FOR ORGANIZED STORMS WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR

ISOLATED SVR WIND AND HAIL.

Such strong wording.
