Baroclinic Zone
Nice shot of that waterspout. I noticed the rotation as well on the radar and suspect that it spun up off that southern band. 1.61" fell in about 1:15. Not bad.

Quincy
What a way to wake up! woke me up around 4:45 with an excellent light show. severe warned, but the cell died literally right over Danbury and I went back to sleep.

Ginx snewx
Nice classic Narry Bay spout. That cell when it came through here split to my north. The scud updraft were insane, thought I saw some strong inflow too.

radarman
Yeah good stuff last night. Second best overnight convection of the year, just behind July 24th. 1.16" in the bucket at UMass. Sitting at 76 degrees now in full sun but not super humid. Looks like weak unidirectional flow early this afternoon, with a stronger but veered profile later on. I'm actually not feeling too good about things at the moment. edit- If we could pop something right around 18z it might do well. Unidirectional is not really accurate... it's backed at the surface for a while. But gets worse quickly later in the afternoon into evening. ChrisM
Looks like dews across most of the region are in the mid 60s. Shear is pretty bad for most and ML lapse rates are lacking. Our MU and SB CAPE values suck pretty bad too, seems like a lot stacked against us at least right now. Looks like we'd need to wait til later aftn for timing to be ok.
