We need things to form down over Jersey. The one near OC looks good but we need more NW of that

jersey? i think anything in jersey could take 5 hrs to get here and it would be along MA/ny border anyway with storms moving NNE

i'd watch danbury to torrington then a bit east of that SSE-NNE line as we get toward 430-5pm

Gotta say - I just had a 4 pixel,45dbz shore core move square over my neighborhood and despite the relatively manageable rad value, that rain DEFINITELY fell much, much heavier. Vis went down to under a quarter mile and the street was fomenting - just roared.

High pwat air ftw

There's the stuff we were looking for earlier now developing over Jersey..Maybe some elevated stuff tonight?

Actually looking at things..radar seems to be blossoming down over MD, DE and Jersey..There is another low forming on the front..so perhaps it's a delayed, not denied deal this evening/tonight?

The front slowed down even more on the 12z runs today..Tomorrow might be wet for many esp morning

Ryans "twitter rumor" asuot lol

Well the NWS never said 100 mph winds yesterday... I have no idea where it came from. I'm not surprised that there was a microburst damage consistent with winds that strong but the 100 mph was flying around the twitters but it never came from a NWS statement or NWS Chat. So it was odd.

It was from a Skywarn Spotter..so you figure it's probably got a good shot of being legit

Yeah but they never issued a statement or anything with that figure. So how did the skywarn spotter's report get picked up by random media peeps? If it was in a LSR or something else than I understand but at least yesterday the NWS did not say anything about a 100 mph spotter report.

Lots of weird things happened yesterday..BOX ..perhaps to cover their behinds after the Springfield debacle..issued TOR's like they were handing out Halloween candy..while OKX didn't even issue Severe T storm warnings in Ct when they probably should have issued a TOR based on radar..and then there's all sorts of wind damage in S CT and none of the cells were warned until the damage had already happened in Guilford

I'm just busting on ya. My dad is obsessed with weather and HAM and he said a spotter recorded 100mph at his home station at 430. The tree tops were sheared off. That was provided to box directly, I believe. I assume people had radios and overheard the report and it spread like wildfire.

I think my dads on here lol.
