Wonder if we could perhaps see a few supercells today or cells take on supercell characteristics...pretty decent instaiblity along with very good vertical shear and some weak helicity.

There is a weak low and front moving through NYC and points northeast. Although the cells aren't robust, that might be an area to watch if we get some more instability.

Nice mini supercell. Has a BWER, but storm top barely gets over 20 kft.

Yeah this is a pretty classic low-topped supercell. If that thing was another 10-15K higher it would be some major business. Besides the hook associated with it and rotation looks like it may be producing some pretty good winds.

So far nothing cooking on the Columbia County scanner
