CoastalWx
Looks like those cells in LI on the edge of a LLJ or mid level front moving through. Sort of see this on the SPC site. Western cells are the ones worth watching as they move towards Berks again.

weatherwiz
Wonder if we could perhaps see a few supercells today or cells take on supercell characteristics...pretty decent instaiblity along with very good vertical shear and some weak helicity. There is a weak low and front moving through NYC and points northeast. Although the cells aren't robust, that might be an area to watch if we get some more instability. CoastalWx
On visible you can tell it's a weak system moving through. The clouds sheets are more SW-NE on NJ while winds are SE again over SNE. That's where those cells are developing.

Has a BWER, but storm top barely gets over 20 kft. i was wondering bout storm tops today what do you use to see that i use the intellicast radar and it shows tops of 45K out there http://www.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Summary.aspx?location=USCT0094
weatherwiz
Nice mini supercell. Has a BWER, but storm top barely gets over 20 kft. Yeah this is a pretty classic low-topped supercell. If that thing was another 10-15K higher it would be some major business. Besides the hook associated with it and rotation looks like it may be producing some pretty good winds. So far nothing cooking on the Columbia County scanner
