I haven't really seen any impressive g2g shear on the MCV since Long Island Sound to be honest lol.

For an MCV like that you're not going to get an incredible GTG couplet. The problem is that the whole region inside could potentially produce tornadoes. Heck, on 4/27, the MCV across Cullman, Marshall, and DeKalb Counties in AL was dropping numerous tornadoes simultaneously. The only hint you get of location really is looking especially at the edges of the MCV if the radar is close enough, but no radar is probably close enough to detect it. For all we know, any suspected wind damage with it could be tornadic. It's going to take surveys of any damage along its path to be sure.

True but it is comical to see no warning for the thing until it crosses into a new CWA and doesn't look any better than before.

I have a feeling most of the damage is straight line wind damage. Rotation was awfully broad.... there was virtually no gate to gate shear for a while with a very broad rotation over 10-20 km.

I'm not sure how severe it was but i was in Northampton working from noon until 4pm and we had some incredible thunder and lightning but no wind to speak of. The rain was absolutley torrential.

When I got back home to Greenfield there was .90" in the guage. Not bad, we needed it. I'm assuming south of here was alot more than that judging from what i saw.
