SPC 3:58pm update:

...LONG ISLAND/SRN NEW ENGLAND...

GREATEST TORNADO THREAT THROUGH THE AFTERNOON TO EARLY EVENING

REMAINS ACROSS MUCH OF SRN NEW ENGLAND. THE ONLY CHANGES IN THIS

OUTLOOK IS TO REMOVE WRN LONG ISLAND AND A SMALL PART OF SWRN CT

FROM THE 5 PERCENT TORNADO PROBABILITY...GIVEN A REDUCED THREAT AS

THE PRIMARY TSTM ACTIVITY HAS MOVED NEWD AWAY FROM THESE AREAS.

expanded 5% TOR a little more north to include all of eastern MA / southern NH:

Yeah...I was watching it happen real time with the 5sec updates. It was consistently 20-25mph out of the ENE-E and then it went S-SSW and I knew the higher gusts would be coming. Within about 20secs they were gusting over 50mph out of the SSW-S.
