weatherwiz
Doesn't really look too bad at all I suppose although it's 84 HR out so not going to put a whole ton of stock into the solution but we'd still need to see an earlier phase to tug this thing closer to the coast. Nice to see the NAM at least be somewhat close with it though.
skierinvermont
Pretty sure the NAM would get most of eastern SNE... anywhere east of Old Saybrook to ORH to SE NH
OKpowdah
Need Sam to do some NAM extr*polating. Not me! Never have, never will! Looking pretty good for New England
CoastalWx
The shortwave kicks out kind of quick on the NAM, but it's not horrible.
ORH_wxman
I'm happy with it I agree with this. I think it was a pretty good run. I think it would end up nailing at least eastern areas if not a lot of the region
butterfish55
There are 526 on the site right now. It's propagating quickly for most. Ok...we're back. Using Chrome on a Mac and because I'm incredibly smart, I was able to solve the issue. Board is MUCH faster, BTW. Thanks!

HoarfrostHubb
Isn't this still too far east to miss most except ACK and Chatham?
DomNH
I feel like the late hook/ENE special is really gaining ground here. Hell, I think might be able to start chucking soon.

Boston-winter08
Yeah agreed. I don't see how it can't not hook west with the blocking system still up in Nova Scotia
skierinvermont
Isn't this still too far east to miss most except ACK and Chatham? Don't think so.. the PV has fully retrograded much more than the 18z NAM did and that s/w will pull a hard left. I think it would be at least advisory from Old Saybrook to ORH to SE NH with warning east of PVD. That's obviously pure guessing and could be quite wrong but that's what it looks like to me. CoastalWx
You can see the comma head in the RH off of NC trying to bulge nne at the end of the run.
weatherwiz
About how far east of the best UL divergence does a sfc low usually form?
CoastalWx
I don't see how it can't not hook west with the blocking system still up in Nova Scotia Well it will, question is where. Even the euro hooked back, just 200 miles to the east.
ORH_wxman
It looks a lot like the 18z GFS did except that the vortmax is more potent at the based of the trough and the PV is retrograding a bit better, so I think the end result would probably be something a shade west of the 18z GFS. But anyway, its the 84h NAM.

millpondwx
Heavy heavy backing winds along the east coast at 84hrs. Look at the 200 and 300mb charts. The upper flow is changing rapidly. I think its good the surface system is slower; more time for the upper level pattern to get setup. This is at least a very interesting system evolution to follow!
