Logan11
Given my fringe position for this storm, I shouldn't even be following it so much now. But I feel like this is the best chance in this whole cold trough pattern for a decent snowstorm. If we punt on this then it may mean another week+ of cold/dry and then you have to wait for the whole thing to reload for a January chance. I hate to blow a month when the cold has been here. meatgrinder comes to mind
Baroclinic Zone
NAM still showing Norlun for downeast ME. Looks like a nice little event up there in Cool Spruce land.
Logan11
It's hard to see where the storm is coming from on the 54 hour NAM. But at it is only the NAM we are talking about. OKpowdah
NAM has a better handle on the northern stream now IMO. Also appears overall better for us at this point I think

butterfish55
I think there are people having DNS server issue trying to get on here. I had to figure out how to clear my DNS cache on Chrome in order to get back on since the update. How the hell am I supposes to know if it's going to snow SUnday if no one can get onto the site?!?! TalcottWx
The SW over the Atlantic that phases a little more as it goes out to see is going to have some effect on this run, Low over canada stronger by a couple mb's... unsure whats going to come out of this one.. 5h looks a bit more rounded out to me
SouthCoastMA
I don't see it. I don't either. At least up to 60..the southern wave is weaker
OKpowdah
I don't see it. Ah sorry. I was comparing to the 18z GFS by accident for gauging "better for us" BUT I do stand by the NAM having a better handle of the northern stream right now -- coming more in agreement with the Euro too

The bookmark address changed slightly for the New England page. Had to change the link address I had on my wx page for the site. No biggie but maybe others are having issues? skierinvermont
The southern stream and MT s/w continue to be quite potent on the NAM (maybe slightly weaker than the 18z). It was really the PV extending back towards Maine that knocked it east on the 18z NAM. It's trended more in line with the GFS/Euro on retrograding that. It would hook a hard left with the PV retrograding out of the way and a strong s/w at the base of the trough by 78 hours
mattb65
NAM looks good to me - while people" aren't seeing the low" they should be looking at the 500h building nicely, the PV retreating getting ready to set up a bomb up our way IMO.
