Zir0b
Ouch the Euro is a total nightmare... storm forms hundreds of miles east of HSE. Total whiff by hundreds and hundreds of miles it looks like.

NorEastermass128
The Euro may have no storm at all lol... like we saw 4 or 5 runs ago with just an open wave off the NC coast. The differences are just so huge right now. I do not envy tv or NWS forecasters at this point. GL with this.

40/70 Benchmark
Gibbs texted me..Said northern stream looks good and wave in south is possible. 12z raob gets it tomorrow and that's our final window I agree.....I said last night that I'd give it until 12z Thursday in light of the better N stream....this isn't over and I wouldn't tip cany chairs. This is sooooo correctable.

CT Rain
The differences are just so huge right now. I do not envy tv or NWS forecasters at this point. GL with this. I'm off the next 2 days lol. Can't argue against the Euro. It's been consisently showing a SE NE brushing and now it goes way east. The GFS has been flip flopping back and forth. The UK being sorta similar makes me think the Euro isn't on crack.

NorEastermass128
OK...let's fill out this list. GFS = Major Hit NAM = extrapolated is a hit GGEM = ? UKMET = ? EURO = Wayyy OTS Others?
ChrisM
this literally makes no sense right now. the euro is an outlier to MOST models by hundreds of miles right now

Damage In Tolland
Let's get that data sampled properly tomorrow. Gibbs thinking maybe Euro sw hold energy back bias in play
Logan11
I thought the 12Z NAM was on the same page as the GFS.... Thats the two American models...... I'm off the next 2 days lol. ORH_wxman
Kevin must be ready to pull a Tip since the Euro and UK are his daddies. It isn't very comforting knowing that the two best models are misses.
CT Rain
Let's get that data sampled properly tomorrow. Gibbs thinking maybe Euro sw hold energy back bias in play That could definitely be the culprit. I do like how the Euro looks with the PV/northern stream. So if it is screwing up the southern stream s/w then we're back in business.
free_man
What other models show anything at all aside the gfs and GGEM (a moderate hit at best)? It bothers me the Euro isn't interested at all the past few runs.
ChrisM
so I guess the next question is what happens if 18z gfs holds fast with the 12z solution? thatll be many runs in a row that show a hit, no?
earthlight
Major differences with the southern stream, but the ECMWF is again trending towards a quicker PV phase and better northern stream look. Some model is going to sh** the bed big time here.
Baroclinic Zone
DT. wonder if that sw bais of the euro is affecting how it is handking s/w in STJ as it comes into the sw states ?
CT Rain
It isn't very comforting knowing that the two best models are misses. Especially when they're misses by such wide margins. If HYA was getting like an inch of liquid I'd feel a lot better.
