skierinvermont
Euro looks pretty damn flat at 60h...it just has nothing in the southern stream. Yeah pretty dramatic differences.. you can see it by 24 even. That piece of energy is still 500+ west of southern CA coast. 4DVAR?
40/70 Benchmark
I'm sticking with rugged dudes for now -- warning for CT Blizz and Cold Miser, I like the Vin Diesel look and can be aggressive.

ORH_wxman
Its retrograding the northern stream very nicely like it did at 00z....allowing for room to amplify, but there just in nothing there to amplify, it hardly has any vorticity in the southern stream....which remains a bit strange considering most other guidance does...but its hard to bet against the Euro getting this close. baroclinic_instability
NCEP has a vested interest in this storm verifying if the ECm continues to show this storm not happening since the GFS keeps throwing out the "So you think there is a chance" runs. Logan11
If this is an issue with the Euro and southwest energy then it could be useless to us.... GFS ftw ...rare but possible Yeah pretty dramatic differences.. you can see it by 24 even. That piece of energy is still 500+ west of southern CA coast. 4DVAR? 40/70 Benchmark
Well, I was wrong with regard to this run; should have know better considering the year. Like I said, I'd wait until that sw is sampeled....as good as the EURO is, data is sparse over the PAC.
CT Rain
The Euro may have no storm at all lol... like we saw 4 or 5 runs ago with just an open wave off the NC coast.
mahk_webstah
What does current data actually show about the southern stream? wv? anyi data? I wish I knew how to get that so i could answer myown question
CT Rain
Ouch the Euro is a total nightmare... storm forms hundreds of miles east of HSE. Total whiff by hundreds and hundreds of miles it looks like.
baroclinic_instability
ECm not phasing the UT/4 corners anomalies and it has no southern stream shortwave. This thing will be long OTS.
Damage In Tolland
Gibbs texted me..Said northern stream looks good and wave in south is possible. 12z raob gets it tomorrow and that's our final window

It looks like it has that piece of energy in the northern Rockies though possibly about to dive in and amplify at least a little bit. I'm at least encouraged it's retrograding the PV..When will that southern energy get in a good sampling area? EDIT: FAIL .
