CoastalWx
what does that mean? COMM as in communication outage at a facility. Like a regional center.

OceanStWx
A nice fall look to the radar up this way. We're in the 18 hour test phase of dual-pol install (data not flowing to the public yet), and a nice melting layer is showing up around 9,000 ft. Looks pretty good, given the 9,500 ft wet bulb zero on this evening's sounding.
N. OF PIKE
band is sick over SW coastal maine right now. most impressive looking band of the whole storm.
dendrite
Finally home. It started drizzling in Malden at Oak Grove around 6pm. By the time we stepped out to Kenmore it was closer to a light rain. From first pitch onward it pretty much poured the whole time. We left shortly after they went into the delay. I loaded radarscope and knew right away they wouldn't be restarting this one. Thankfully this is summer or else I'd be sniffing cirrus up here.
amarshall
10 foot seas winds sustained at 30 gusting to 35 knots at Nantucket buoy, tough night for the fishermen. I know 4 smaller boats out tuna fishing on George's Bank. 160 miles from the beach. They didn't sleep last night.
Baroclinic Zone
Nice storm. Ended up with ~1/2" I'd guess looking at BOX radar totals. Suck that the COMM was out so we could not know.

Good rainfall. Would not be surprised. If you saw 1/2", I like saw more given my proximity to the heavier bands. It poured for a good 2-3 hours from like 8-11. CoastalWx
That low last nice did have some tropical characteristics. Notice the fall/rise in MSLP before and after passage as well as the narrow corridor of 23-28kt winds from the NW behind the low. Cool system. weathafella
Looking at radar in my phone as I was walking over to Fenway to meet friends for our traditional pre game dinner at Trattoria Toscana on Jersey St and I'm thinking......how's this gonna miss us? After the tarp came out and we left, seeing the puddles and the pouring rain in Boston...over performer. I wish I could say its a sign....
