Some streets flood easier plus I'm not sure how much you got there since it didn't rain at all on Ocean Parkway and Ave J. The current batch is weakening as it moves in so I wouldn't worry.

Thanks , I'm up in the Catskills always a bit nervous about my basement flooding, last summer I had issues with the big storm before Irene. If you get serious rains please post. Thanks.

Were seeing more action in our area today with hardly any shear than last week during that derecho tha moved through our area or what was left of it haha go figure

Totally different setup for sure. Weak winds aloft and high Pwats will give you training storms especially when there is an outflow boundary nearby.

Poured for a few here in Garden City, now just light rain...Looks like the rain stays west of much of the island today.

Looks like we will salvage the weekend and get some nice storms in here Monday...perfect timing.

That cell near Woodbridge is insane. Incredible rain rates and flash flooding in minutes. Rt. 9 around Woodbridge turned into a river and I drove past a truck that ended up smashed on the side of the road.

Amazing im 10 min from there...and have nada..

No rain at all here in New Brunswick but the clouds to the northwest from that training line of storms looked quite dark when I was outside a few minutes ago. Also heard quite a few rumbles of thunder and one very loud one. Those storms must be dumping a ton of rain in the Franklin/Bound Brook/Manville area. Amazing what a difference just a few miles makes. They've prompted a flash flood warning actually:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A

Yeah. Also nothing at my home in the southeastern corner of Franklin Twp, while a few miles north have been getting hammered. Looks like a few cells are starting to pop further south in Mercer Co along the outflow, so maybe this will finally move the cells south into New Brunswick proper.

I'm more on the western edge of town only few miles from East Millstone in a lull now up to 1.14'' definitely nice slug forming to the south.
