Also check out the strong winds on radar on the east side of the mesolow (away from the tornado warning). What an unbelievable complex. Never would have thought that eastern CT would have better instability than us with all that maritime influence. This is the first time that I ever heard a member in this forum announce gate-to-gate velocities for a storm. I feel like that I live in the Plains region now. bkviking Posted August 10, 2012 Share Posted August 10, 2012 I was on Lunch in parking lot and have a video from this event bc I was taking videos whole time of the how hard the rain was falling. ~ 1:45 it definitely changed and the winds picked up and I put my seat belt on.
