I don't like the crapvection near AC for New Jersey...there is not enough time for that to organize and become discrete supercells.

CT, on the other hand, might benefit.

But it is near the best instability parameters and already has mesocyclones in the storms. And it is moving slowly northward which gives it plenty of time to organize more.

Writing was on the wall for this several days ago when the models started showing huge moisture and a shortwave stuck between the ULL and the WAR.

These closed low set ups are usually remembered for their heavy rainfall around here.

MAXIMUM HOURLY RADAR RAINFALL RATES WILL RANGE FROM 1 TO 1 1/2

INCHES PER HOUR AND CAUSE RAPID PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING

AREAS PRODUCING MINOR URBAN FLOODING.

THESE HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE ADVISORY

AREA THROUGH 12:45 PM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MINOR FLOODING MEANS THAT ALTHOUGH STREAMS AND CREEKS MAY RISE OUT OF

THEIR BANKS...PROPERTY DAMAGE WILL BE MINIMAL. INCONVENIENCES CAN BE

Yeah it does appear that way. The NAM basically has around a half inch and ending by late this afternoon and by the looks of it it might not be too far off

of course now the radar is looking better again....

The whole area looks to be weakening over NJ. The rain was impressive at work near Bedminster. Looks like back home in Piscataway it hasn't been much once again.

WERE PRODUCING STRONG WINDS 34 KNOTS OR GREATER. THEY WERE

MOVING NORTH AT ABOUT 30 KNOTS.
