Thunderdude
Storms weakened quite a bit when they moved east and very little lightning was produce by the time they got to Long Island. When the gust front came with wind gust 40-45 mph there was limited amount lightning and thunder as well then when the heavy rain came behind there was one loud bang of thunder. Overall I was disappointed the limited amount of thunder and lightning but the wind gust and the cloud shelf was cool.

Nikolai
From a friend's roof in Hell's Kitchen. It was totally dark, but the best part was that you could see the sheets of rain drifting through Times Square before the storm actually arrived in HK. It came so fast, we were having champagne & half the flutes broke when the first huge gust rolled through--obviously 30 floors up, but it was crazy!
