Looks like the 12z holds off on the real heat until very late in the week now. With tropics beginning to heat up finally the medium range models are going to start becoming a little dicey me thinks. It will be interesting to see where we end up. Need 10 more degrees to get to the forecasted high. Its a themes that has been going on ALL summer (ie DET has already had FIVE less 90F days than DTW). Its starting to look suspicious. Yeah...and it really could have happened today when considering the antecedent air mass and conditions. But an outflow boundary from storms in KS came through, which held the high temp to 112.
