Neblizzard
Please stop the cloud cover worry. All the models had this. The clearing over Western PA will eventually spread our way. Exactly, what we are seeing now is nothing out of the ordinary. Rule of thumb is to never hug the models verbatim for a potential severe weather outbreak. The sun will be out full force by afternoon and the atmosphere will eventually ignite..especially with the robust instability parameters and forcing. Stop being pessimistic people, and let things unfold over the course or the day.
blizzardof09
John thanks for that post. That should help put to bed some fears of this being a bust and i applaud SPC for being firm on there forecast. Today is going to be fun and still think the entire NYC area including long island are gonna get hit with some nasty storms this evening. SPC are very good at what they do so id take there word for that forecast

Dsnowx53
Loving the MCS being stronger and further south than modeled. That helps shift the best threat, including the tornado threat, a tad south. CI might take a while, so do not panic and call pre-mature bust too early.

HM just posted this about half hour ago - although I detect a hint of sarcasm Posted 24 minutes ago 1,329 posts Joined November 12, 2010 I just wanted to say good morning as we await our warm frontal passage. Remember, this is going to be painful for you New Englanders who may still be trying to get unstable at 18z. Meanwhile down here in NJ, I am gearing up for my apocalyptic derecho this evening.
