ag3
I'm 2 miles west of LGA. I suppose the winds gusted to close to 40mph right before line hit.

HailMan06
The winds were much more impressive along the gust front than from the actual storm. Had maybe a 30 mph gust but nothing to get worked up about. Edit: The rain was one of the top heaviest rainfalls I have ever seen though. Occasionally you couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of you.
Sundog
Gusting to 49 at LGA. Frankly that's shocking. I've seen seabreezes cause more wind here and I'm only 4 miles east of them. Ag3 is a couples miles west of them and he's recorded weak winds too. Very strange report.
Guest Pamela
In Port Jeff and can attest to William's post as it got dark quite quickly and wind came in quickly followed by now heavy rain. Nothing here too severe. Black night like skies and lightning do make it look awesome. T-storm in progress here...but not severe at this time. Isotherm
Gusted to 39mph here before the line hit. Honestly I've heard more thunder in a winter storm...the curse of the moderate risk continues.

SnoSki14
The shelf cloud came through and it was pitch black, a nice, strong gust of wind probably up to 40 mph, I actually lost power for 20-25 minutes, a few good lightning strikes. It was interesting, very quick, but definitely less than what I expected.

HailMan06
I guess the overall consensous is that the storm was impressive but nowhere close to being historic. The storm was fun to track though.

IsentropicLift
Power just went out here for about a minute and came back on, very weird, storm has been long over but it's stil very dark out and we just had our loudest rumble of thunder yet. SnoSki14
I am convinced that the worst storms are the ones that are not over hyped, there might may not even be a slight risk up, and they'll happen.

Cfa
Nothing happened yet but a couple of lightning flashes and rain drops. However it's still getting darker. I'm not even sure if it's raining. A large pink-ish bolt just lit up the sky, I'm not expecting much else.
